Meet Jamie - Founder + Artistic Director

My story began in 2003 with a cosmetology license, a dream, and a deep love for the art of beauty. More than two decades later, that passion has evolved into a career rooted in luxury artistry, advanced blonding, transformational color, and elevated guest experience.

As the Founder and Artistic Director of Mystic Salon + Head Spa, I specialize in lived in blondes, dimensional blonding, luxury brunettes, gray blending, corrective color, and advanced color transformations with a strong focus on maintaining hair integrity and creating effortlessly expensive looking hair.

Throughout my career, I’ve trained under some of the beauty industry’s most respected artistic directors and platform artists, including Ted Gibson, Jason Backe, Jo Blackwell, Kimmarie Sclafani, Min Kim, and Nancy Braun. These experiences helped shape my philosophy around precision, consultation, customization, and master level artistry behind the chair.

For over 15 years, I refined my craft as a Master Colorist at Timothy Pamment Salon in Madison, Connecticut, where I became known for corrective color work, blonding expertise, dimensional color placement, and creating highly personalized hair journeys for guests throughout Connecticut’s shoreline communities.

Today, guests travel to Mystic Salon + Head Spa from Branford, Guilford, Madison, Old Saybrook, Old Lyme, East Lyme, Niantic, Stonington, Groton, Westerly, Watch Hill, Fishers Island, and beyond for luxury color services, advanced blonding, and scalp to strand wellness experiences performed with a deeply consultative approach.

My professional background also includes education, brand management, sales, and artistic development with some of the industry’s leading companies, including Four Star Salon Services, L’Oréal Professionnel, SalonCentric, and DePasquale Salon Systems. I additionally served as L’Oréal Professionnel’s Brand Manager for the state of Connecticut within the education sector.

Mystic Salon + Head Spa was created as the culmination of everything I’ve learned and loved throughout my career, a premier luxury salon experience serving Connecticut’s shoreline with elevated artistry, luxury hospitality, advanced scalp and hair wellness, and thoughtful, customized beauty experiences designed to help every guest feel confident, restored, and beautifully cared for.

Detail-oriented, creative, and deeply passionate about her craft, Laura specializes in creating curated looks tailored to each client’s hair, lifestyle, and personal aesthetic—so your hair looks just as good between visits as it does leaving the salon. In her chair, guests can expect exceptional hair, thoughtful education, and an uplifting experience. Her favorite services include custom cuts, color transformations, natural hair styling for all hair types, and makeup application and education.

Outside of the salon, Laura enjoys astrology, animals, and the occasional reality TV indulgence. She loves thrifting, discovering new coffee shops or sushi spots, and spending time with her husband and son. Kyra brings heart, creativity, and intention to every guest experience!

Drawn to cosmetology through her love of artistry and confidence-building, Kyra views hair as a creative medium for self-expression and transformation. She is especially passionate about color services, where customization and creativity come together to reflect each client’s individuality. Known for her detail-oriented approach, efficiency, and thoughtful care, Kyra thrives when collaborating with clients who trust her vision.

Warm, approachable, and an attentive listener, Kyra prides herself on creating a welcoming, comfortable space where guests feel seen, heard and indulged. Her goal is for every client to leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and confident - having experienced a true luxury moment.

Outside the salon, Kyra enjoys playing softball, caring for animals, and embracing her love for all things pink.

Eden is a Hairdresser + Head Spa Artist at Mystic Salon + Head Spa

With a style that is equal parts low maintenance and detail oriented, Eden focuses on creating customized looks that align beautifully with each guest’s everyday lifestyle while still honoring their hair goals, inspiration, and overall hair health. She believes great hair should not only look beautiful leaving the salon, but also feel manageable and realistic for daily life.

Known for her layered haircuts and signature bouncy blowouts, Eden especially loves working with long hair and guests who trust her creative eye throughout the process. Her favorite services include haircuts, blowouts, color services, and Head Spa experiences.

In Eden’s chair, clients can expect to feel welcomed, cared for, and genuinely relaxed. Whether you’re looking for an uplifting conversation or a quiet moment to unwind, she naturally matches the energy of each guest while prioritizing thoughtful consultations and an elevated experience from start to finish. As a true empath, Eden strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and taken care of.

She also loves educating guests on hair health, product recommendations, and easy styling techniques to help recreate their look at home with confidence.

Outside of the salon, Eden enjoys trying new coffee shops and restaurants, spending time with her family, and planning tropical vacations whenever possible. She loves girl’s nights, reality TV, iced lattes, and relaxing at home with her two dogs. Her laid back personality, positive energy, and ability to truly listen make her someone clients instantly feel comfortable with.

Leah is a licensed esthetician with a passion for helping guests feel relaxed, refreshed, and confident in their own skin. She believes that every facial is an opportunity to create a personalized experience that not only improves skin health but also provides a peaceful escape from the stresses of everyday life.

Inspired by her love of skincare and self care, Leah especially enjoys helping clients manage acne and develop customized skincare routines that fit their unique needs and lifestyle. Her favorite service to perform is the facial because it combines results-driven skincare with the opportunity to help guests unwind and recharge.

Known for her positive, easygoing, and trustworthy personality, Leah strives to make every guest feel genuinely welcomed and cared for from the moment they enter her treatment room. Her goal is for each client to leave feeling refreshed, confident, and excited to return.

Before pursuing her career in esthetics, Leah studied psychology, giving her a deeper appreciation for the connection between self care, confidence, and overall well-being.

Outside of the treatment room, Leah enjoys staying active at the gym, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her Labradoodle, Albert.

Elizabeth believes that great skincare is about more than healthy skin. It is about creating a space where guests can truly relax, recharge, and feel their very best. As a licensed esthetician, she combines a calm, personalized approach with a genuine passion for helping clients achieve lasting results while enjoying a luxurious, restorative experience.

Esthetics is Elizabeth's second career, inspired by her lifelong desire to help people feel more confident in their skin while providing a peaceful escape from the demands of everyday life. She loves that the beauty industry is always evolving, giving her endless opportunities to continue learning and bringing the latest techniques and knowledge to her guests.

One of Elizabeth's favorite parts of every facial is the massage. She believes facial massage is both therapeutic and results driven, helping to improve circulation, brighten the complexion, encourage healthy skin function, and create an incredibly relaxing experience. Whether she is helping someone navigate acne or supporting healthy aging, she finds it deeply rewarding to watch her clients' skin transform over time and to see their confidence grow along with it.

Known for her calm, steady, and cheerful personality, Elizabeth takes the time to truly listen to each guest's concerns before creating a treatment plan tailored to their unique skin and goals. Her hope is that every client leaves her treatment room feeling deeply cared for, pampered, relaxed, and amazed by how healthy and refreshed their skin feels.

Outside of the treatment room, Elizabeth enjoys cooking, discovering new restaurants and recipes, practicing yoga, meditation, taking long walks with her dog Sammy, collecting candles, and settling in with a great movie. She also jokes that one thing clients are often surprised to learn is that she is older than they think!

After many years working in a busy dermatology office, I decided to pursue a second career in esthetics because I wanted to build meaningful one-on-one relationships with clients, and help people feel confident in their skin. I am currently attending esthetics school, and am eagerly expanding my knowledge of advanced skincare treatments that help clients achieve healthy, beautiful results.
